  • At Mordialloc College we really don’t appreciate just how lucky we are to have the huge array of learning tools that we do at our disposal. Everything from textbooks in the classroom to edrolo at home, there’s many different things we can use to consolidate the stuff we learn in class.

  • Although everyone has a system of a few things that work for them, for me it’s mostly practice papers, it’s always worth keeping an open mind when it comes to new strategies and resources. Shaking up the way we study means that the time we do spend being productive is much less of a drag, we can concentrate better and get more out of the work we’re putting in.

  • With so many of the things we enjoy cancelled due to COVID I’m sure I’m not alone in finding it hard to stay motivated and not get bored of doing the same old work over and over again. With exams on the horizon stalling now and starting to undo any of the work we’ve put in so far would be silly, there are so many different ways we can change things up. Just a few things to think about are switching from using cue cards to quizlets to study key terms, look into our tutor system to hear content explained in a different way or simply get in touch with your teachers more, ask them how they think you’re going in their subject and what sort of thing you can do to push yourself and your scores another step further. After all, teachers are our biggest resource.
